Initiated in 2013, ON DRAWBACKS AND OPPORTUNITIES is an ongoing photographic series of architectural sites and landmarks around the world. The photographs are presented both in varying constellations ("Figures", 50 cm x 75 cm, framed) and individually ("Facets" 80 cm x 120 cm, framed).

Photographed with a 50mm standard focal length in various places around the world, the series examines the concept of a growing global interconnectivity. The selected sites were either created or defined by human culture — yet they conspicuously lack any evidence of human presence.
The photographs are presented in individually titled constellations ("Figures"), which form new essayistic contexts and narrative associations between the images.
